RESERVATION POLICY
(PLEASE READ)
All tours are done by reservation only…the tour schedule is different everyday based on the reservations that have been made for that day. Reservations may be made through email/computer, but that is not recommended unless you are outside the U.S…as there will be time and back-and-forth involved. Please call the Reservation Line (808-217-2363) Monday thru Friday during Hawaii business hours to set up a reservation. Please call first thing in the morning for the best possibility of getting a tour the same day, but the more notice we can have, the better the odds of getting a tour on the day/time desired. We can schedule tours for almost any day of the year, but the Reservation Line is officially open Monday thru Friday 8am-5pm. Please leave a message whatever day/time you call; if we cannot answer…we will return the call as soon as possible.
As part of the Reservation Process, we will collect valid credit card information to hold the time and space for the tour you have reserved. But you will not actually pay for the tour until the day of. At the time of the tour, we accept cash or major credit cards.
To cancel a reservation, we officially require 24 hour notice. But we will be fair…if you twist an ankle hiking the day before or something similar, we will be reasonable. But we MUST receive a telephone call before 8am the day that the tour is scheduled, informing us of the cancellation. Otherwise, the credit card on file will be charged for the tour. Officially, you are reserving the time and the services of the Company to provide this amazing experience. If you do not choose to take advantage of the time you reserved and actually take the tour,, that is your choice. But please understand that you will still be paying for the experience with the credit card information on file at the time of the tour. Mahalo.
THE WALKING TOUR
$39 per person
On the walking tour (about an hour), we guide you into a section of the tubes where some rocks have been moved etc., so that as long as you can negotiate some natural stairs and occasional uneven footing, you can come in and see these unforgettable caverns in a natural and pristine setting. Close-toed shoes are required. Pricing update effective as of May 15th, 2023 and reservations made prior to that date will be honored.
THE ADVENTURE TOUR
$99 per person
On the adventure tour, we guide you into a different section of the caverns from the Walking Tour. This section is still completely natural so the terrain is a little more rugged. We must enter the tubes by a 16' ladder. We will need to navigate over loose rock and more rugged terrain at times, climbing over piles of rock rather than taking a trail through them as on the Walking Tour. There is no actual crawling, but some smaller spots that must be crouched through. The tour lasts about 3 hours, and we go much further than on the Walking Tour. Pants and close-toes shoes are required. Pricing update effective as of May 15th, 2023 and reservations made prior to that date will be honored.
DAY IN THE CAVE
$269 per person
This is a day for those who want to truly explore and enjoy the Kazamura Lava Tube system...or maybe you just want to "check out" completely for the day and have an experience that you can have no where else on Earth. The other tours we offer start and end at the same place. On this special offering, we will start in the morning and cover miles of the cave system on this one-way journey. Plenty of time is allowed so that this is truly an opportunity to spelunk in the system, exploring what you want as you encounter passages and places that pique your interest.
